PURCHASING

Upon receipt of the non–refundable deposit and signed PopUP House Sales Contract, House Port will send the home buyer an informational package that includes the drawing sets, construction DVD, and construction guidelines. You will prepare the site, build your foundation, as well as install floor framing and decking. Upon receipt of final payment for the PopUP House with House Port, we will fabricate your kit.

Because the House Port Kit Package is a kit of parts, it meets the requirements of a “new construction,” allowing the owner to qualify for a traditional mortgage. Erected on site, unlike off–site, factory–based modular and manufactured homes, it is considered “new construction” and can be inspected by a local building inspector during all phases of the build, just as a stick built house.

Before obtaining a traditional mortgage, the owner must obtain a construction loan in order to build the PopUP House. Once construction is complete, the construction loan can be rolled into a traditional mortgage.
