Location and Site Preparation

Begin by selecting the perfect location for your House Port, whether it's by the beach, in the mountains, or in a rural setting. Clear and grade the site, ensuring a smooth, level foundation. Install essential utilities like water, septic, and electricity, preparing the land for construction. This foundational phase sets the stage for a solid and sustainable build, aligning your home with the natural surroundings.

1

Living Cube Construction

Living Cubes are the heart of your House Port. This step involves installing Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) to create the walls and roof of the cubes, offering excellent insulation and energy efficiency. Each panel is carefully placed according to detailed plans, with wiring and electrical boxes integrated into the panels. This phase creates the core structure of your home, balancing strength with environmental responsibility.

House Port Construction

Build the main House Port structure, starting with vertical beams anchored to footings and topped with cross beams. Roof panels are added and secured, creating a durable cover that protects the Living Cubes. Optional rain catchment and greywater systems can be integrated at this stage, enhancing the home's eco-friendly features. This step completes the framework of your home, blending modern design with sustainable construction and an extended living space.

3

Exterior Finishing of Cubes

Choose sustainable materials like water-based stains and energy-efficient sliding doors to enhance your home's green credentials. Exterior finishes can be customized with siding options that reflect your style, from modern to rustic. This phase not only adds curb appeal but also protects your home from the elements.

4

Interior Rough-In Preparation

Complete the exterior of your Living Cubes with doors, windows, trim, and roof detailing. Prepare the interior by installing essential systems such as wiring, plumbing, and HVAC. Electrical and plumbing lines are laid within the SIPs, and framing for walls and ceilings is completed. This stage sets the groundwork for all interior installations, ensuring your home is functional and ready for room-by-room customization. It’s an essential step that combines precision work with sustainable building practices.

5

Room Installations

Bring your interior to life with room-specific installations. Add cabinetry, fixtures, and appliances to the kitchen, bathrooms, and living spaces. Install skylights, light fixtures, and custom elements to create unique, functional areas within your home. This phase allows you to infuse your personal style into every corner, making each room both practical and reflective of your vision.

6

Interior Finishing and Trim

Finish the interiors with flooring, trim, and wall treatments. Paint, tile, and install finishing touches like baseboards, crown molding, and custom storage options. Add furniture, fireplaces or other design elements to create a cozy, personalized atmosphere. This stage brings warmth and character to your House Port, turning the structure into a finished home that’s ready for daily living.

7

Exterior Completion

Finalize the exterior with landscaping, patios, and outdoor lighting. Install walkways, gardens, or water features to enhance the property’s appeal and usability. Add exterior finishes like protective coatings, trim, and window treatments to complete the look. This final step ensures your House Port is not just a house, but a home that blends beautifully with its environment and invites you to enjoy indoor-outdoor living.
