The House Port Roof System

The unique design of the House Port metal roof contributes to energy efficiency and allows a generous amount of shaded outdoor living space between and around the perimeter of the cubes.

 

  • Natural Ventilation & Insulation: Keeping homes cool in summer and warm in winter, with less energy; Minimizes energy loss, maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures year-round; the space between the metal roof structure and the cubes allows for cooling in the summer and heat insulation in the winter

  • Heat Reduction: The metal House Port Roof structure reflects solar heat, thus reducing heat absorption on the cubes below, contributing to lower cooling loads.

  • Solar Panel Integration: Each House Port Roof has solar panels that support renewable energy generation, thereby reducing dependence on non-renewable sources.

Tesla Powerwall Energy Storage with Solar Panels

House Port homes prioritize sustainability and energy efficiency with solar panels and integrated Tesla Powerwall systems.

  • Solar panels installed on House Port’s metal roof structure furnish the electric energy to the house, and lead to even further savings in energy costs, supporting the use of renewable energy and enhancing energy resilience, especially during peak demand periods.

  • Included in each House Port, the Tesla Powerwall is a fully-integrated AC battery system for residential use. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack provides energy storage for solar self-consumption, time-based control, and backup.

  • The Tesla Powerwall system stores surplus solar energy for later use, reducing grid reliance and maximizing energy efficiency.

  • Powerwall’s electrical interface provides a simple connection to the home, enabling owners to quickly realize the benefits of reliable, clean power.

  • Roof Structure: The House Port metal roof structure is composed of recycled steel

  • SIPs: Each cube is framed with Structured Insulated Panels (SIPSs).  These panels are engineered with wood shavings. House Port's ThermaFoam, R-Control SIPs are made from renewable controlled growth wood resources.

  • Low VOC Finishes: We use water-based finishes to ensuring healthier air quality inside and out.
